Shootings At Queer Safe Places Are Hate Crimes

Just say it as it is, the shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs on Saturday night at 11:57pm, killing 5 people and injuring 25 others is a hate crime by a domestic terrorist, named Anderson Lee Aldrich. By calling it anything less is journalistic gaslighting.

There are articles siting that in 2021 there was a man with the same name who was arrested for threatening his mother with homemade bomb and other weapons. Such reports also cite that the records were sealed. Looking further into it shows that it is in fact the same man and that he is the grandson of Republican Randy Voepel, with previous incidents that could have prevented this tragedy. This is the same man who supports the Second Amendment, so why did not he attempt to help his grandson who at the time of the shooting was not a law-abiding citizen due to his previous arrest. The fact that they included the previous reports proves their validity as they would not have added the information otherwise. And no, it was not a means to dispel as it was sealed. This is a prime example of journalistic gaslighting.

The Republican hatred for the LGBTQIA community is in part responsible for this and other shootings in clubs that are LGBTQIA safe places as well as other hate crimes painted towards the community. They are allowing the behavior to continue.

If you do not agree with the lifestyle, then do not go into these spaces. Just stay in your own bubble. We do not agree with the biblical hetero judgmental beliefs, so we do not go to conservative churches.

As for the families of those who have lost their lives and who have been injured in this domestic terroristic act, my thoughts are with you. I hope that tragedies like this will never happen again but unfortunately the reality is that it will happen again sooner rather than later unless a stronger stance is taken and both sides of politics agree. Which lies the issue and why it will never be fixed. The conservative hatred of anything less than them in their point of view coupled with their death grip of holding weapons will breed more domestic terrorism just like this.
